Cherry blossoms!

As I've stated in this blog before, I live quite close to DC. If you live in the DC area, you probably know that it is cherry blossom season! Beautiful, delicate blossoms are all over Washington and Baltimore, up and down the streets, littering passersby with the fairy dust of pink petals.

The blossoms in DC are some of the best in the country, a gift from Japan in the early 1900s. They line the tidal basin with a frilly pink cloud of blossoms. For the first time, I went to see them this weekend, and it was so worth it. Breathtaking sakuras everywhere; pink and white. It was incredible. Even better, we packed sushi and edamame to eat under the trees! What a wonderful day.
